We may collect: name; email address; date of birth; country; gender or other profile information; professional status; company name; authentication and account information; and account preferences.
Date of birth may be used to determine whether a User satisfies CareerTestLab's minimum-age requirement.

Generated Assessment information may constitute personal information when it relates to an identifiable person.

We may collect: sponsoring organization information; department information where provided; invited email addresses; invitation status; Assessment status; Assessment Credit balances and transaction history; invitation and reminder activity; claims, declines, cancellations, and starts; completion information; and Report availability and access-related information.
Where a Professional User sends an invitation, CareerTestLab receives the invited person's email address from that Professional User before the person necessarily has a CareerTestLab account.
2.4 Transaction Information
We may collect: products and Assessment Credits purchased; transaction dates; amounts and currencies; tax information; order and payment references; transaction status; and related billing records.
Where payment-card information is submitted directly to a payment provider, CareerTestLab does not store the complete payment-card number.

We may process information contained in support requests, privacy requests, feedback, attachments, correspondence, and other communications sent to us.
2.6 Technical, Security, and Operational Information
CareerTestLab and services used to operate it may process information such as: IP address; browser and device information; operating system; timestamps; requested pages or resources; referring source; authentication and security events; session and operational information; and technical logs.
This information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and defend the Service.
2.7 Analytics and Advertising Information
Where analytics or advertising technologies are enabled, information may include: referring source; campaign or attribution data; page or funnel stage reached; device or browser category; approximate geographic information; conversion events; checkout activity; and purchase events.
CareerTestLab does not send individual Assessment answers, detailed Assessment results, scores, archetypes, or Report content to advertising platforms for advertising purposes.
3. Sources of Personal Information
We may obtain personal information:
- directly from you;
- automatically through your interaction with the Service;
- from a Professional User that sends you a Sponsored Assessment invitation;
- from authentication, payment, communications, security, analytics, or other service providers involved in a transaction or feature; and
- from other sources where authorized or permitted by law.
Where a sponsoring organization provides an invited email address, the source of that information is the Professional User or organization that initiated the invitation.
4. Why We Use Personal Information
We may process personal information to: create and maintain accounts; authenticate Users; verify eligibility; administer Assessments; calculate Assessment results; generate and provide Reports; save progress; operate Sponsored Assessments and Team functionality; manage Assessment Credits; process and document transactions; send operational communications; provide support; detect and investigate fraud, abuse, security threats, and unauthorized activity; protect Users and the Service; maintain, troubleshoot, develop, and improve CareerTestLab; comply with accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations; establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; understand Service performance and acquisition; measure advertising or marketing effectiveness where permitted; and create aggregated, statistical, or appropriately de-identified information for research, product development, benchmarking, analysis, and business insights.

Where processing relies on consent, withdrawal of consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
5. Automated Assessment Processing
CareerTestLab uses automated scoring and content-selection processes to transform Assessment responses into scores, classifications, interpretations, and Report content.
In general terms, responses are processed according to predefined scoring rules and used to select pre-authored content associated with the resulting profile.
A generative artificial intelligence model does not compose an individual Report at the time the Assessment is completed.
The Service therefore creates professional-profile interpretations from information provided by the User.
CareerTestLab does not itself use this automated processing to make a final hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, admission, credit, or similarly significant decision about a User.
Professional Users are responsible for decisions they make using Reports and other information obtained through CareerTestLab.
6. Sponsored Assessments
When a Professional User sponsors an Assessment, CareerTestLab processes information necessary to administer that invitation and Assessment.
Before the Participant begins, CareerTestLab informs the Participant that the sponsoring organization will receive access to the completed Report if the Participant proceeds with and completes the Sponsored Assessment.
Depending on the stage of the process, the sponsoring organization may receive: information necessary to identify and administer its invitation; invitation and Assessment status information; and the completed CareerTestLab Report.
The sponsoring organization does not receive the Participant's individual question-by-question Assessment answers.
The Participant may decline before beginning the Sponsored Assessment.
CareerTestLab does not require a second Report-sharing decision after the Participant begins.
Responsibility for Processing and Subsequent Use
Orion Sight determines the purposes and means of processing necessary to operate CareerTestLab, administer CareerTestLab accounts and Assessments, generate Reports, secure the Service, and provide CareerTestLab functionality, and acts as controller for those activities where applicable data-protection law uses that concept.
A sponsoring organization independently determines the professional purpose for which it requests an Assessment and the purposes and means of its subsequent use, retention, disclosure, and handling of the completed Report and other information it receives.
As between Orion Sight and the sponsoring organization, each acts independently with respect to the processing purposes and activities it determines for itself, except to the extent applicable law or a specific written data-processing arrangement requires a different characterization for a particular processing activity.
The sponsoring organization is responsible for establishing its own lawful basis, providing any notices required of it, limiting access appropriately, establishing lawful retention, protecting information it receives, and complying with employment, privacy, anti-discrimination, and other laws applicable to its use of CareerTestLab information.
Additional data-protection terms may apply to a particular Professional User where required by applicable law or agreed in writing.
7. Sensitive Information
CareerTestLab does not require Users to provide health records, medical diagnoses, ethnicity, religion, political opinions, sexual orientation, trade-union membership, biometric identifiers, or other special-category information in order to complete the standard CareerTestLab Assessment.
Do not include such information in free-text communications or other fields unless it is relevant and CareerTestLab has expressly requested it.
If sensitive information is voluntarily provided in a support or other communication, CareerTestLab may process it only as reasonably necessary to handle that communication or as otherwise permitted by law.
8. Disclosure of Personal Information
CareerTestLab may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to provide and protect the Service or otherwise permitted or required by law.
Categories of recipients may include:
- hosting, infrastructure, database, and authentication providers;
- payment and transaction providers;
- email and communications providers;
- security, fraud-prevention, error-monitoring, and technical providers;
- analytics and advertising-measurement providers where enabled;
- professional advisers;
- sponsoring organizations as described in Section 6;
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies, or other authorized bodies where required or permitted by law; and
- prospective or completed purchasers, investors, financing parties, successors, or advisers in connection with financing, restructuring, incorporation, merger, acquisition, asset transfer, or sale of all or part of the business.
Third-party providers process information under contractual or legal terms appropriate to their role and applicable law.
CareerTestLab does not sell Assessment answers or CareerTestLab Reports.
CareerTestLab does not sell personal information to data brokers.
CareerTestLab does not disclose individual Assessment answers, detailed scores, archetypes, or Report content to advertising platforms for advertising purposes.
Optional advertising technologies may, when enabled, disclose other information such as identifiers, browser or device information, campaign attribution, page events, or conversion events as described in this Policy and the applicable Privacy Choices interface.
10. Communications
CareerTestLab may send non-marketing communications reasonably necessary to: verify an account; authenticate a User; reset a password; protect account security; deliver or administer Sponsored Assessment invitations; send permitted reminders; confirm transactions; administer Assessment Credits; or provide Report-related information.
CareerTestLab may separately send marketing communications where permitted by law.
Marketing consent and unsubscribe mechanisms will be provided where required.
Withdrawing from marketing does not prevent non-marketing communications that are reasonably necessary to provide a requested Service, transaction, account, Sponsored Assessment, security function, or legal notice.
11. International Processing and Transfers
CareerTestLab is operated from Canada.
Personal information may be processed or accessed in Canada, the United States, and other jurisdictions in which CareerTestLab's service providers or infrastructure operate.
The privacy and data-protection laws of those jurisdictions may differ from those of your place of residence.
Where the GDPR applies, transfers to Canada may rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for Canadian commercial organizations where the recipient and processing fall within its scope.
Where an adequacy decision does not apply, Orion Sight uses or requires an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism where required, which may include the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another mechanism permitted by applicable law.
Where United Kingdom transfer rules apply, Orion Sight uses an applicable UK transfer mechanism where required.
Where applicable law gives you a right to information concerning transfer safeguards, you may request that information at contact@careertestlab.com.
12. Retention
CareerTestLab retains personal information for periods reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.
The period depends on factors including: the type of information; whether an account remains active; whether an Assessment or transaction remains relevant; the need to provide access to Reports or transaction history; legal, accounting, and tax requirements; security and fraud-prevention needs; dispute and claim periods; technical backup cycles; and whether information can instead be appropriately de-identified.
Information may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or permitted for legal compliance, security investigations, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, enforcement, or protection of Orion Sight or Users.
When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, securely destroyed, de-identified, or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law and Orion Sight's retention practices.
13. Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion through functionality made available by CareerTestLab or through contact@careertestlab.com.
Deletion of an account does not require deletion of information Orion Sight is lawfully permitted or required to retain, including information necessary for: legal or regulatory compliance; accounting and transaction records; tax obligations; fraud prevention; security investigations; legal claims or disputes; or enforcement of applicable agreements.
Information may remain for a limited period in backups or technical systems until ordinary replacement or deletion cycles complete.
Information that has been appropriately de-identified so that an individual is no longer reasonably identifiable may be retained and used.
CareerTestLab cannot delete a copy of a Sponsored Report independently retained outside CareerTestLab by a sponsoring organization or another lawful recipient.
14. Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights including: access to personal information; correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; deletion in applicable circumstances; withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent; objection to or restriction of certain processing; portability where applicable; information concerning uses, disclosures, or sources; management of certain advertising or tracking choices; and complaint to an appropriate privacy or data-protection authority.
Requests may be submitted to contact@careertestlab.com.
Orion Sight may verify identity, authority, jurisdiction, or other information reasonably necessary to protect the requester and other Users before responding.
Rights are subject to lawful exemptions and limitations, including where disclosure would improperly reveal another person's information, violate privilege, compromise security, or conflict with another lawful obligation.
Orion Sight will respond to valid requests in the manner and within the period required by applicable law.
15. Privacy Complaints
A privacy complaint may be submitted to the Privacy Officer at contact@careertestlab.com.
Orion Sight may request information reasonably necessary to understand and investigate the complaint.
We will review privacy complaints in good faith and provide a response or other information as required by applicable law.
Where available, you may also have the right to complain to an applicable regulator or supervisory authority, including:
- the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or an applicable provincial privacy authority;
- an applicable supervisory authority in the European Economic Area;
- the United Kingdom Information Commissioner's Office; or
- the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where Australian privacy law applies.
16. Security
Orion Sight maintains administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, taking account of the nature and sensitivity of the information and the risks associated with its processing.
Measures may include authentication, access controls, encryption, monitoring, testing, and other safeguards appropriate to the Service.
No internet-based service, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Where a security incident creates a legal notification or reporting obligation, Orion Sight will comply with the applicable requirement.
17. Minimum Age
CareerTestLab does not permit account creation by persons under sixteen (16) years old.
Where applicable law requires parental or guardian authorization for a User who is under the age of majority, use of the Service by that User is subject to that requirement.
18. Changes to This Policy
Orion Sight may update this Privacy Policy as CareerTestLab, its operations, technologies, service providers, products, legal requirements, or data practices evolve.
An updated Policy takes effect on the effective date stated in that version.
Where applicable law requires prior notice, consent, or another procedure in connection with a change in processing, Orion Sight will comply with that requirement.
